Who has the time to clean when you have little kids making a mess sooner than you can clean them.
Cleaning up after little kids is like sweeping the crater of an erupting volcano, it doesn’t make sense. Try as best as we could it’s really different when there’s a curious little toddler, a baby, and grade schoolers scouring through the laundry, knocking things over, playing with the soap, building lego bridges across the living room.
So when this dad heard his mother ask “Doesn’t it bother you that Mel won’t keep a cleaner house?”referring to his wife’s not-so perfect housekeeping skills.
He had a heartwarming answer.
“After a few moments of struggling to find the right words, I finally said, “I didn’t get into this marriage for a clean house. I got into it because she seemed like someone I could spend my life with.”
“I see our marriage as a partnership, so cleaning is as much my responsibility as it is hers,” he explains.
